This afternoon's mail saw the arrival of the J. Crew "pre-fall 2005" catalogue (save $20 on $100 with code "9020"), and I noticed one item in particular.
The selling point of the new "Regency" necktie is a width of a mere 2 3/4". The colorways are a bit outre, for me, but if you like greens and yellows and oranges, it might be something to look into. A couple of years ago I picked up one of their repp ties in a blue/white/black stripe, and I'm pleased with it. Medium weight, decent construction; it's a good all-around workhorse.
(Disclaimer: I am in no way associated with J. Crew, though I think I'd be a good candidate for corporate sponsorship: most of their stuff doesn't have a logo!)
