It seems they make it a habit of putting short jackets on tall models. Most of the photos are close to identical and it’s been that way for years. Press is one of my go-to brands though so I have the measurements dialed in. I’m a 42R with no alterations required. Very rare for me as any other label and I need to have the sleeves shortened.^
That will probably look good on you.
Even though it doesn't look so hot on the model. I mean this, a close look at the sleeves of the sweater compared to the sweater at the neck, shows that the sleeves have been folded back, making them very thick. And in order to get that precious look of showing the exact amount of sweater beneath each sleeve, the sleeves have been pushed back a bit, you can tell on the left by the wrinkling of the sleeve. Or I hope that's it, because if not, the sleeves are way too short. As is the jacket itself. Did you get measurements from Press before ordering?
. I think that it perfection in a herringbone, not at all too large.Well tough act to follow but I'd like your thoughts on this. I'll need to shorten the sleeves but I'm 5'6" and favor smaller patterns. What say thee? I feel it is rather large of a herringbone View attachment 94562

Very interesting. So glad that you are pleased with the fit and those memories.I was really planning to go easy on the purchases this year but when you spot something you've been looking for, you need to strike. A little show and tell...
I just had this Magee Donegal tweed delivered the other day. First off, I was blown away how the store in Scotland got it to me so quickly! A big thanks to Stewart Christie & Co. in Edinburgh.

My photo doesn't do it justice so here's a photo from their website. Its a beautiful blue that borders on grey/blue to my eye....

The sleeves will be shortened a bit, but otherwise it's one of my best fitting jackets already. I was on the hunt for a Donegal in this color as it brings back fond memories. This is as close as I've seen to a jacket given to me by my parents when I was in my very early teens for a school dance. As I recall, back in the mid-80s, Donegal tweed was pretty popular. At least it was where I lived. You sure don't see it around much these days.
Nice. Standard fare. Not a dig, everyone over 25 should have one of those, and you do. Taking a selfie with an outstretched arm does not augment the look of the jacket, try propping the phone on a table or something. They all have built-in 10-second timers..Wel l I guess if it's good enough for J Press it's good enough for me.
Yikes! Am I in noncompliance if mine is a different color? I agree on the photographic advice, but at least this shot shows that one can actually move in a proper 3/2 sack!Nice. Standard fare. You probably have the salt and pepper version so you're exempt.Yikes! Am I in noncompliance if mine is a different color? I agree on the photographic advice, but at least this shot shows that one can actually move in a proper 3/2 sack!
Any suggestions where to buy this jacket in Seattle or DC?Nice. Standard fare. Not a dig, everyone over 25 should have one of those, and you do.
