Here's a question for the seasoned travelers in the forum. I know there were some earlier threads about the dress in different Italian cities. I believe most of the posters said that dress was mostly casual in Naples and Rome, and that Milan was dressier but only in business districts.

I'm wondering which Italian city has the perfect blend of medieval charm, along with five-star hotels, restaurants and theatres you'd find in London and Paris(places that a suit and tie wouldn't look too out of place.) Would Venice fit this description?
