Isaia Suit - Real or Fake?

From what I see, looks like the others I have handled. Inside tag pic when you have it is another factor. But my 2 cents is it is real. I don’t see much fake tailored clothing like this. i just don’t think there is enough market for something like this. Plus, is this from ebay? If seller has tons of great feedback for tailored menswear then only a small chance it is not real.

That looks real to me. Brands that trade on quality rather than on purely their name generally are not faked. You can't convincingly create a fake Isaia. And if they've gone through the trouble to make a convincing fake it's going to be a really good suit anyway.

Can't say for sure but, looks an orphaned suit jacket. I could be wrong.
None of my Isaia suits carry that label, but I believe they have more than one tier.
As to it's authenticity, looks real.

There is a flowing line between an obvious suit orphan on one end and an obvious sport coat on the other.
This may be a suit orphan but imo it is wearable as a sport coat. Fabric is tough to gauge from the pics but looks rough enough and pattern is a little small to be called windowpane - but far from a stripe or even a solid.
I know on top they are very particular about such things, and people have been questioning it. Some believe that only a jacket that is obviously casual with patch pockets is suitable for a sport coat.
I disagree and feel that while patch pockets should not be on a suit, flap pockets are good for both.
Most of my sport coats have flap pockets. If this fits well then I think most here would agree it should be fine as a sport coat.

Agreed. As great a brand that it is, it's not super well-known outside of fashion circles, and thus a long run for a short slide if someone went to the effort to fake. It looks legit (and nice as well) to me.

Perhaps some 15-20 years ago the brand was well recognized and not necessarily only in fashion forward circles ( I don't consider myself fashion forward ). No less quality today I wouldn't think.

It may well be an orphaned suit jacket. At first glance, a small windowpane like that is something I wouldn't be surprised to see made up as a suit. Additionally, have a look at Isaia's current offerings. Basically all of the sport coats they have for sale have open patch pockets.
Flap versus open patch pockets are by no means conclusive however, as both are found on sport coats and are both appropriate. Someone could have this made up and chosen flap pockets for all we know.
On the sport coat side of things, the next to last picture, when zoomed in, shows that the fabric has a fair amount of texture. Also, smoked mother of pearl buttons are usually found on a sport jacket and not a suit. If this was a suit I would expect to see some form of horn button.
The answer is really "who knows." It could go either way. It does have characteristics that may allow you to use it as a sport coat though.

Agreed. I seen many Isaia sport jackets with flap pockets that are in super 150s. Though people in style forum are telling that this is an orphaned jacket, its texture and button material allow it to be worn like a sport jacket.

It's likely an orphan based on it being fairly smooth, but if it's from a suit it's from a sports suit as the pattern is very sporty. That means it's sporty enough to wear on its own. It would go well with contrasting wool gabardine trousers.
S or Super numbers have only to do with the fibres that the wool is made from, not the weight or texture. You can have a very textured Super 150s hopsack that is perfect for a blazer, which will only feel softer and be more delicate than an 80s hopsack, but the weight could be the same.
I’ve realized that the cuff button holes are machine made while the rest are handmade. Judging from the lining and the details that this is a real Isaia obviously, but I’m surprised Isaia has machine made cuff button holes. Is this normal for the brand?

Isaia suits don't come with buttonholes on the cuff (unfinished cuffs are the mark of a top RTW suit). These would have been put on by someone else, so you can't judge by this.

this level suit or sport coat usually sold at a neiman Marcus level store, they often include the tailoring Sleeve length to your exact length post purchase along with other small details. More intensive alterations may come with a price tag. Who knows now everything may be an up charge.
