I'm having a hard time trying to tell if my newly purchased Gucci Tie is real or fake. What do yall think?

If you bought it at a department store, it is real. If you bought it from a man with a suitcase on a street corner in Lower Manhattan it is not real. Don't ask me how I know. Also, you shouldn't buy a Rolex the same way. They only work for about a week then stop.

Assume it’s a knock off. Do you view it differently now?

Interestingly, the search terms "fake gucci tie" (in this forum's search tool) yield this thread as the very first hit (the seventh in a Google search); in which, SG 67 posts as a handy reference.

Your third photo of the label matches one purported to be a fake of Vietnamese origin and 2008 vintage.

Agreed. Don't buy the tie because it says "Gucci" on the label. Gucci ties are probably made at a generic factory in Italy and there is nothing more special about them than a fake Gucci tie made in Vietnam. Gucci quality is not high, it's just a fancy brand.

If you love the tie, wear it.

If you have to ask? Count me as one who doesn't like to wear anything with Logos or proprietary symbols. Why advertise for free? Or wear something where someone has to ask if it's real or fake. Women's handbags are the worse. Why would you pay several thousand dollars for a Louis Vuitton handbag when there are so many fakes out there that look just as nice? I sheepishly admit I own two Versace ties (with the characteristic logo.) But that's about it. I don't think I would wear these if you gave them to me:

Yes - it too is very iconic - but I don't think there are any fakes. And most people would have no clue who makes it.
