From the point of view of advertising, Microsoft's ad agency or advisers have sold them them a classic blunder. They've let Apple define the terms of the ad and by responding to them on their own turf just keep the Mac in people's minds. "Poor Microsoft, they don't even have the brains to create their own original ads. They have to copy ideas from Apple."
