You guys are forgetting Windows ME. Need I say more? Mac OSX is perfectly stable, and has been since OS 9, which was also stable. Neither my G5 nor my G4 have ever been in the shop for anything! I install my own hard drives video cards and software, and virtually every periferal is plug and play.
As far as the "there is so much more software for the PC" I'd have to agree, but just how many free games does one need? I have all the software I need to get my work done and more.
And, finally, I have NEVER, I repeat, NEVER had a virus. I just checked a couple of days ago, and I'm virus free.
I'll admit that my wife, who uses a 24" IMac has three Word files that she got from an ad agency that do have a virus, but those are the only ones I've ever heard of.
Just my opinion, and I realize I'm in the minority!
