My favorite pair of shoes is a pair of ferragamos I purchased many years ago. I'm trying to find a new pair (if possible). Inside one of the shoes, is a number (perhaps the serial #) of UG37317 N16 9 1/2 D [i included the size portion for inclusiveness] .

Does anyone know if its possible to track down another pair? I went to Ferragamo store in NY and didn't push it but just asked a salesperson if he recognized the shoe (he did not).

If you diligently check eBay they will turn up - maybe even a brand new, unworn pair still in their box. I now believe that everything on earth turns up on eBay in time.

Your lament feels familiar, not for Ferragamo but for other things in the past and this is why, if I really love something I will buy a second pair and put them away.
