I took out an old fall/winter favorite during this weekend's seasonal clothes rotation. It's a Donna Karen New York suit from back in the good old days when she produced an interesting line of made-in-Italy men's suits.

I'm not sure what this fabric is called. It's not a traditional woven suit fabric, but more like a micro-knit. It's 100% wool, olive with hints of blue and black, made in Italy and about eight years old.

What is the industry nomenclature for this?

Thanks in advance!

CAPELLO DA PRETE?

We might need Manton for this one. Although it resembles something a gent from a Biella weaver at Ideabiella (when i was learning my trade) called capello da prete or priests hat presumably for its slight resemblance to a monsignors titfer.
