How much is the average fees for alterations?

I went to a tailor today that was ranked in 2002 as one of the best tailors in NYC and was amazed at the prices.

I thought all three jackets fit me pretty well (in my novice opinion) but he suggested waist tuck-ins for all the jackets and two shoulder tuck-ins for two of them for $30 and $70, respectively. Hemming the pants costed $25 each...

All in all, it came to a little over $350 for three suits (which is more than I paid for the Abboud suit...). Are these prices reasonable? I'd be a little disappointed if they come back short of looking fantastic on me.
