I have 1 winter wool full length navy, 1 Sanyo raincoat (both are size 44 and I’m now a 42) a full length down uniqlo, a Border and a Beaufort.

Can we justify buying a Canali overcoat and a Burberry car coat on sale? Both fit me better.

This is a forum of enablers. As long as it fits in your closet and doesn't take food off your table most of here will cheer you on. I live in Dallas and have over a dozen coats many of which only get worn a few times per year. Of course most of my stuff is purchased second hand but the truth is I love clothing and variety.
Of they fit you well and you can afford them, enjoy!

The advantage of being in our neck of the woods is that we experience everything from very hot to very cold weather, so we get to justify buying clothes for all seasons. I’m sure you can find a reason to own a particular coat for just that particular kind of weather it’s great for. I know that’s how I explain all the coats I have...

They fit me well, I can afford them but I really cannot fit them in my closet.

I collect coats, yet I tend to live in warm climates. As a result, I have too many for where I live, but just the adequate number when I visit northern climes.

And I have adequate closet space. One of my weaknesses is seeing high end winter coats and jackets on ebay for $30 and buying them because of the ridiculous value for money. Mea culpa.

Cheers,

Z-Rack. I have one in a spare bedroom and probably will get another over the next year. Allows my wife and I to switch out clothes in fall and spring when we both have excessive wardrobes and not humongous closets.
With two daughters still living in our house closet space comes at a premium.
Pretty sure I paid less than $100 for my z rack about 3 years ago online. And it is solid, on wheels and has a second bar to double our capacity. Was a great investment for us.

One person can never have enough coats and jackets, there are always changes in the weather and you have to be prepared whether it's going to rain or if it's going to snow or what the weather's going to be for that day.

Yes but I'd be getting a size 42 nicer coat to replace a size 44 nice coat. And putting in a closet rack is just a guarantee my wife rolls it out to the curb on trash day.
