Hello all:

I bought a pair of black aligator cowboy boots off eBay, and they fit very well across the vamp, but start hurting my heels and the balls of my feet after walking in them for ~20 minutes.

If I do not walk in the boots they feel fine, no tightness or anything like that.

I tried adding a gel insert to the sole, and my heels and the balls of the feet feel better, but now it's too tight across the vamp.

How can I fix this? Should I just sell the boots and get a pair half a size larger, anticipating putting in an insert? Or is there a brand of boots that have particularly comfortable soles?

thanks,

boston
