Quick question -- I'm having a tailor make up a lovely suit for me and need some advice on vent depth. The suit is a SB, navy pinstripe, double vented. Right now, the vents are deep -- coming up maybe two inches or so above the tops of the front pockets.
I do like the look, but am concerned that the vents may be too deep. Should I ask the tailor to close them up an inch or so? What's the rule of thumb, and is there an advantage to having a deeper vent?
For the record, I'm 5'7" and of slim/average build (typically wear a 40 short).
Many thanks in advance,
Hoya
