Not what you may be thinking. I'm just wondering how many people will be choosing to vote early or use an absentee ballot.

I know that it probably saves me time and effort to vote absentee, but I just really like going down to City Hall in person to vote.

I take my son with me to vote, and then take him on to school. Yes, the candidates are usually a disapointment, but I want him to learn that you only have the right to complain if you exercised your right to vote.:icon_smile:

I'm not sure about the convenience of it, however. The lines at the early voting locations are many times requiring a 3-4 hour wait.

Absentee. We used to be able to go and vote somewhere, but that is all gone. Personally I like voteing in person because of the interesting atmosphere, it is as though we are on an adventure.

I don't like either candidate! So, I voted for myself!

I had a nice non-partisan community organizer stop by a couple of weeks ago and register me 187 times in 23 states under 74 different names. So between now and election day, I am going to be one very busy guy!

I hope I can get all my voting done without having to leave the house that I'm staying in with a dozen campaign workers. We rented it last week so we could pretend to meet the state's residency requirements.

Until then, I'll be spending all my time buying pre-paid debit cards with money sent in by Europeans and donating it all to the campaign. Luckily, the Big Guy doesn't use any kind of address verification on its computerized donation system, so the contributions are 100% untraceable.

Anyway, on election day, I won't have time to vote. I'll be a poll watcher, helping safeguard the integrity of democracy itself.

I voted early. Like yesterday. I asked the clerk of it was possible to vote a split ticket, they said yes, so I voted for Obama and Palin.

My voting precinct serves a relatively sparsely populated area. I'm in and out in 5 minutes if I show up before 8:30.

My polling Station is the Methodist Church within walking distance down the road. Last time, one of the workers got all excited seeing my GREEN PARTY registration and putting my materials together.I was the only so registered in my area. I told him there was a car in the parking lot with Quebec license plates, he should run out and see it too.

Last time too, this idiot informed me I spelled my name wrong after I spelled k-A-V and he told the clerk "NO, look under the Cs."

I give my 83 y/o mother a ride to vote. I must look rude, racing in ahead as she slowly walks in. Truth is, her generation of the family exaggerate civic duties like a Norman Rockwell painting of the actress who played LEAVE IT TO BEAVER's school principle.

I almost got killed when my late aunt ( the one who still hissed at mention of Japan) came to a dead stop in the middle of the street right in front of a oncoming fuel tanker. She saw the disant elementary school janitor raising the american flag, put hand to heart and recited the pledge of allegiance as this shiny tank with a big old yellow sea shell swerved past us with jake brakes screaming at a safe and ane 20 MPH taking out several cedar picket fence posts and rose bushes.

My mom just makes a stink if they don't publically read out her name and announce she has voted, or the gold plastic eagle on the flag is crooked.

Sort of gives me incentive to read on health care and senior initiatives more.
