If you can its well worth going into button queen just for the 'experience'.

Two rather amusing guys run the shop .. in a rather old fashioned sense

They normally have a pretty good range of horn with both matt and polished finishes.

Try contacting Richard James Weldon. They are an English company.

This is excellent advice. They will happily send out a catalogue, anywhere free of charge. What more could you want?

Stay away from M&J Trim. They have shipped me a number of dodgy buttons and refuse to give me a refund, claiming horn is a natural product and subject to variation. My buttons were chipped (30% missing for example). This sort of definition of variation would leave no room for a real defect. To M&J Trim, there is no such thing as a defective button.

Any one know the best place to get replacement horn ( suits ) buttons in the UK?
I'm sure Button Queen probably do...but they don't have a catalogue to choose from.
Re: Horn Buttons.

Horn buttons are made of horn genuine horn.
Water buffalo

Synthetic or simulated horn is a polyester with a polymer and ester base.
Many other combinations of plastic based materials are available.

Genuine Horn

Must not be dry cleaned or washed and must be removed from the clothing before any cleaning is done.

If you are interested in the real horn, samples are available.
We send a disk case with the samples in polished horn and matt, samples have to be paid for as these cost money to produce.
Cost is £10.00 for two disk cases containing 24 buttons of a choice of colors both matt and polished plus postage.

For further information contact.
