Opinions? I usually shy away from horizontal stripes but keep coming back to this one. Casual only I would never wear such stripes on a dress shirt.

I’m fine with a finer stripe as long as it’s vertical.

I 'm opposite. I prefer horizontal lines for casual shirts. A lot of my golf shirts have horizontal lines.

FWIW, in Britain vertical stripes are far more common than horizontal for soccer team kits, and the opposite is true for rugby teams. I have no idea why.

For someone sporting a 49" chest, wearing the shirt pictured in the OP would not be a good look! I would pass.

This accents the horizontal. Unless you are quite tall and thin, you want to accent the vertical.
