Blair flair?

Not really. Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair seems welded into that dark suit, but at least has some nice, if not particularly adventurous, ties. After perusing numerous pictures, I finally found one of him in a light gray sport coat and blue-green trousers, walking with U. S. Sen. John Kerry, both in unbuttoned but sharp shirts. He went open collar with a polo shirt at the Olympics, but still had on a suit. I did find one picture wherein the suit he wore was a decided blue, not navy.

The man lives in a suit and looks fresh wherever in the world he turns up. Part of this is his confidence and ease in all kinds of situations, which probably helps make him look better dressed than he may technically be. By that I mean that I am unaware of the source of those (maybe only one) dark suits, which fit him well but might just be off-the-rack at Marks & Spencer, for all I know. He seems to always dress in an uncannily complementary fashion to that of whatever world leader with whom he is pictured. Maybe they all have the same fashion coordinator:icon_smile_big:

I think he meant "Chaps"

...Anyway, although I think the man is an idiot I have to say that George Clooney is normally turned out very sharp. Paul Newman used to appear well dressed even in casual as well. Even Obama (didn't vote for him) always looks sharp when he A. has a shirt on and B. isn't photo'd leaving the gym. His suits are very hip without leaving the presidential zone.

I also think Britt Hume had the best suits of anyone on TV news, better than Wolfe or any of the 60 minutes / CBS gang. I cant speak for NBC and frankly Bill Oreilley always looks like hell, lousy tie choices and the suits are bland.

I'm not a fan of most TV personalities' wardrobe choices. Far too many lean toward flashy and overdone looks with shiny ties and huge stripes and peak lapels. And VERY few pocket squares...I mean c'mon...there is a reason there is a specific fold called the TV fold...and usually with a white square. Simple, well-dressed, and complete.

In my family and my office, ME!

Media personalities: Hume and Kudlow are tops

Beckham: Obviously well built and wears clothes well, but more or less a chav who (or his stylists or wife) tries too hard.

Blair: Usually w/o a tie which is a kind of new labor/cool britania posuer thing that is past its sell by date. Wears Burberry check trimmed polo shirt for chav cred. Has to rent full dress, unforgivable for a PM. Slightly effeminate too.

Clooney: Looks pretty good in clothes of course, but probably still has that notch/long tie "tux" in his closet somewhere.

Cheers

Movies stars: Daniel Craig

TV News: Matt Lauer, Larry Kudlow, Brian Williams, Anderson Cooper.

Politicians (current and former): Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, Joe Biden

Late Night Talk Show Hosts: Jimmy Kimmel (Better looking suits than Leno, Letterman, O'Brien, and Ferguson anyway IMO), Charlie Rose perhaps (I think he wears DB suits)?

Music Artists: Andre "3000" Benjamin, Vampire Weekend (band)

David Beckham's jacket sleeves, in the photos I've seen,

are too long which detracts from his appearance. Otherwise, I could never subscribe to him anyway because of his tatoos, even if mostly hidden when he wears a suit.
