As for me, I was doing a search on Roetzel's book Gentleman: A Timeless Fashion, and it lead me to a post about that book here.

I was immediately attracted to the breadth of knowledge and information contained on these fora, and its vBulletin software, which allows one to start a poll so quickly and easily. :icon_smile_wink:

I was doing some research for an article that I wrote on a Swedish heraldry forum on the significance or not and the origin of colour combinations on regimental ties; and the google search on "regimental ties" threw up, among other things, this forum. Well, of course, medwards, if we wanted information from two freakin' years ago...

One would think that how someone found AAAC would not have changed over the past two years, but perhaps I am wrong. Certainly we have new members who haven't participated in this conversation in the past and we are anxious to hear their voices. But the solution in this as in so many cases is to build on these past discussions rather than to replay them time and time again. The search engine is your friend. :icon_smile:
