Just came across this while visiting the Herring site. They currently have free shipping and returns to/from the US for the month of May. They also have GBP100 off their Royal Collection (made my AS) through Sunday the 20th. I thought I'd pass this along as we all need more shoes.

And I believe they're also offering free shipping to, and free returns from the U.S.A., this month only!

Can anyone comment on sizing from Herring? I'd like to try some of their shoes at some point but nowadays I need an "E" wide American width (higher instep), so I'm not sure if anything they stock would fit me. Tempted to eventually order a UK Brannock device to get a better idea of sizing. I wear a 9E in AE Park Avenues but measure a 10D/E on the U.S. Brannock.

I'd probably be looking to get a couple pairs of country brogue type shoes closer to when Fall comes around.

I measure 9.5 E (maybe E+) on the Brannock. Fitted at 9E in AE PAs at my local AE store. I've been pleasantly surprised that normal UK F widths have fit me. So far I've found good fits with Herring's 026 (Loake), 175 (Cheaney), and 125 (Cheaney) lasts. I've found Crockett & Jones lasts to be narrower and tight. Herring also carries many lasts in G width (~E/EEE).

Their customer service is excellent - very responsive via email.

It's funny you should mention Cheaney. I have two pairs I can no longer wear because I've gained weight. Several years back I bought a pair of black Cheaney cap toes that were marked inside as a 7.5F UK and as a US 8.5 on the box. At the time I wore an 8.5D in most AEs. I'm wondering if the F width would work if I went up a size in some of the country brogue shoes or if I should just stick with models that are available in a G width...will have to think it over...

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed substantial price increases at Herring?
Not a long period of time but I ordered two pairs of shoes in February. One is £20 higher today while the other is £20 lower.

GBP is roughly 3.5% lower than in February (cheaper to buy for Americans). But it's about 4% higher than a year ago and 12% higher than its lows in early 2017.
