I'm hoping that those of you knowledgable about Lobb shoes might be able to help me... I was at NM this weekend trying on a pair of Lobb shoes: Black Oxford Cap Toe (I seem to recall that the box read "Statford SS1 12E 7000"). The shoes fit great up front, but I was experiencing a bit of slippage in the heel -- not a terrible amount, but enough that I noticed it. Now my question is this: As I usually wear a 13D US, is the reason I'm experiencing this bit of slippage in the heel due to the fact that this is a 12E (since the Neiman tag said "12", I'm assuming that for the American market, Lobb uses American sizing; in other words, when Lobb says "12E" on the box, they mean 12E US. Or is it possible that (making the sizing conversion from UK to US) what I was trying on was actually a 13E US?! All very confusing, and unfortunately, the NM salesperson was not familiar enough with the Lobb shoes to tell me one way or another...
As I like the shoes very much, my situation is now this. Should I buy the shoes, and live with a little bit of slippage in the heel (which may go away as the shoes becomes accustomed to my foot?)? Or, alternatively, does anyone know if -- for the American market -- Lobb makes something closer to a 13D, which might fit me better overall? Any help/advice you can offer is much appreciated.
