Hello everyone!

As the title says, I got an interview tomorrow at a lower-tier suit store (with all due respect) and I was wondering if this was good to wear:

Please ignore the cleanliness of the mirror and the room they're both not mine but the room got good lighting.

It is a prince of wales checks in white with blue checks.

My only other suit is a the tailor being adjusted at the moment.

I'd get rid of the pocket square and flower though. There is already a lot going on so it gets distracting.

Is vest necessary? I would think this is not a good time to play odd-vest game so if it is warm enough, no need for the vest.

Lose the flower and change the pocket square into a TV fold.

Do you have a light blue shirt with barrel buttons (no double-cuff with cuff-links for interview)? Definitely leave the white contrast collar/cuff shirt until you get the job.

Dark grey or navy socks with burgundy/dark brown or black balmoral. Fit-wise you are good to go.

My other shirt with barrel cuffs has a houndtsooth patterns and it looks way too intense with this suit.

Also it may be good info that Ive been selling suits to clients of my own in the past 2 years and they know that. In their head I'm probably not just "the new guy" I'm "the new guy with experience"

5) work on your grammar. "I HAVE an interview" not "I GOT an interview". No state of dress can make up for, or otherwise compensate for, poor grammar and language skills.

The buttoning point isn't too low, it's about where it should be. The buttoning point on most of the current style in the RTW world is too high, along with two sizes too tight and the gorge sits on your shoulder like a pirates parrot.

I couldn't assess from the original photo if the button stance was too low. However, even if that was the case (and I agree, it may not be), wearing that dark vest as a reason to leave the jacket unbuttoned didn't seem quite right.

Well the jacket should be longer, but what I did is shortening it to fit me, and now the buttoning point seems too low.

And I have been hired

I left the vest and the flower home, went with a tv fold and the same shirt and tie and it went well!
