Has GAP lost it's way?

This is the headline in an article in BARRON'S magazine that arrived today. They approach it from a financial point of view. However, financial experts that follow GAP feel that the GAP slow down comes from the fact that they have lost their way, and have no compass in the style arena.

I have never bought anything there, but enjoy wandering through from time to time just to see what they are offering to the market that they are going after. I have always felt that the deal makers at GAP would benefit from reading the Forum, or asking advice of many of the younger Forum participants that seem to me to have developed good taste at an early age.
