One should not be so quick to abandon their Heritage/Traditions. We seem to be involved in a collective race to do just that in this beloved Nation or ours...kind of sad, methinks! :(
We are fighting a losing war. No matter what western civilization gave the world, we must always be shamed for our shortcomings, and all remaining pride must be stamped out, lest you are perceived as not "woke"

Just my unqualified opinion that's he's under a great deal of influence from someone not familiar in the least about the Royal Family, their duties or responsibilities.
In my unqualified opinion, Harry has escaped the influence of an intransigent and close-mided group and is standing on his own two feet and speaking the truth. I applaud him for doing so.

Harry would do well to stand up while wearing those socks.
I ask, who's money would Harry be standing on?
I am always amused by those "who strike out on their own", especially the Hollywood brats.
Standing on their own two feet? "Made it without Mom and Dad's fame and money".
"I wanted to prove I/we could make it on my/our own". Yeah right.

I couldn't care a wit about any of them, but don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining.

As for the socks, I like OTC that stay up, don't like wrinkly sagging things, clothing wise.

Why can't we keep or bring back pride in what has been great, while acknowledging past shortcomings and correcting them?

Why does this have to be a zero sum game?

They are hardly standing on their own. If they weren’t former royals, the family issues might get them on Springer, if that. They are using their affiliation to the royal family to attempt to build fortunes without accomplishment or contribution

Because that's not how it works. One must be torn down to accommodate the other. And who's mistakes are we correcting? Anyone that made them is long dead, so how exactly is it the fault of the people alive now? What does "correcting" them even mean?

Can I just say, I don't have the slightest idea what is going on with the Royal Family, other than Harry's socks, but it seems like there might be some troubles.
Of course, the titled aristocracy are the scum of the Earth, to quote Nick Smith.

And I love OTC socks. They stay up great.

All these years, I thought over-the-calf meant across the meaty part of the calves, not above it.

So it's more like high waisted pants, if I understood correctly?
Yes, they're like high-waisted trousers. They're supposed to sit just below the knee. Unless you're extremely tall, this show they should fit you. I find them very uncomfortable, and I have tried many different materials. I think they irritate the hairs on my legs.

Even a basic understanding of body language reveals Ms Markle was lying about many key issues in the interview. And Harry is anxious to leave the marriage. Pray for them in their $10mm home and the sad fact fact they only have ten million left until they sign some great deals using their titles. IRL, a monarchy is no worse nor better than a democracy, except a monarch has to take responsibility while all the kings here in DC blame everyone else.

Jeez Louise, I've got to watch that interview in it's entirety . Years back I took some training in interviewing/interrogation techniques, including the interpretation of body language. Admittedly, it has been a couple of decades since I completed the training and employed those skills vocationally, but from the interview excerpts I have watched, I have not noticed the substantial indications of deceit to which you refer. I did note Markles eyes were downcast when she was talking about an unnamed royal expressing concerns that her bi-racial baby might be born too black. The downcast eyes could be interpreted as a legitimate reaction to the emotional nature of the subject. As far as Harry being "anxious to leave the marriage," I didn't note evidence of that. To my eyes and ears, he appeared to be hanging onto Markle with both arms and is admittedly grateful to her for preventing him from having to endure the royal family struggles and insults on a solitary basis, as his Mother had had to do. My intent here is not to argue, but rather to present another perspective. ;)

PS: Harry and Megan actually live in a $15M mansion, carrying a $10M mortgage on the property.
