Can you use wireless earbuds or headphones at a gym that has machines that use a jack to hear the Tv or cycling program? Do i need some sort of transmitter ? Any recommendations on which earbud or headphones work well on eliptical machines and treadmills? May or may not use my IPhone XR for Spotify to workout to.

*Probably* the TV at the gym uses an FM transmitter to connect to the treadmills, so no, your headphones (presumably Bluetooth) won't pick it up; you'd need a Bluetooth transmitter connected to the RCA Aux output on the treadmill (I'm saying this off the cuff, so, you know, caveat!)

If you know the actual model of treadmill you can probably ask the manufacturer, or at least download the user's manual for specific guidance.

PS. For running in general, I like the Jabra Elite Sport wireless earbuds.

At the local Planet Fitness, the wife and I concluded our best option was to buy a pair of the $5 earphones that Planet Fitness was selling to hear the audio support provided by the Gym. Many just use their earbuds in conjunction with their iphones to provide audio distraction during their workouts.

Saw that NewEgg had refurbished Jabra Elite 65t, $72 instead of $160. Wonder if they pair easily with an Iphone

Eagle, I too have some cheap $5 wired ones for watching say ESPN, and sometimes they catch on a handle or one bud pops out if I turn my head

The Elite 65t works great with the iPhone and has some pretty sophisticated features like geolocation tracking.

I went on Amazon and got some Tozo T10 buds for $41 shipped. Was about to get a refurbished pair of Elite 65T by Jabra, the Active version, for $80 shipped on the Jabra store on Ebay, but these got great reviews and one or two sites, consumers rated them higher overall. I can always give them to the Wife, and grab a better pair like Bose or even the Jabras if I really love wireless.

My friend, I admire your tenacity, in searching for a better solution than the $5 earphones. My wife and our grand kids complete their workouts with their iphones strapped to their upper left arm(s) and their earbuds in their ears. ;)

Well, update. My Son in Law had a pair of Beats 3 that were broken and they gave him a new pair. Since he loves his Jabras, he sent them to me. They have a little wire to connect them, but do not plug into anything. And they swivel somewhat, with an ear piece over the back of the ear, so they stay in place when I use a small towel to wipe sweat from my face and head. Great sound too

I use headphones with my splint cracker . It really deadens the noise. The charge lasts all day. I used it for 8 hours and noway ran out of juice. They connected to my phone fairly fluently. formerly connected, the one- button control worked faultlessly. Overall a good steal. Makes a long day of blowing leaves so much briskly.
