As a reminder of why the suit is still king and dressing well is still a badge of the trusted gentleman, I walked into a building today knowing no one and several people went out of their way to let me into security areas. Oh, and I was wearing a DB and still seemed to instill an image of trustworthiness...

SO it seems the suit is safe for now as a message that you are more respectable, important and admirable than what everyone else around you might be wearing.
