That's an issue I often don't notice until I see pictures after the fact. That said, I use removable collar stays as the sewn-in type tend to look bad after a few trips to the dry cleaner. I'm wondering how the placket insert ages.

Thanks for the comment. It took us 3 years to design/perfect the material to be installed once and last the life of your shirt. We have test shirts with over 120 presses on them and the stays are just like day 1. (Most shirts last 60 presses)

Do they have any effect on a shirt being worn fully buttoned with a tie?
@prunenoveggie - the short answer is no, there is no problem wearing a shirt equipped with Million Dollar Collar & a tie.

You may be interested in listening to the phone interview @Andy did with Million Dollar Collar inventor @Rob Kessler.

Andy asked that very question, and Rob had a really incredible answer and some insight we hadn't thought about before!

This sounds great. I've thought about trying a pair but didn't want to go through the hassle of nagging my SO to install them for me...I'm interested.

They are insanely easy to install. I taught myself how to sew and can do any shirt in about 5 minutes. As far as wearing a tie, there is no effect on the shirt, so feel free to button all the way up and look like a stud at Happy Hour when you pop it off.

If it works and I'm satisfied with how it performs I'll get my clients involved.
