I stopped by a small shoe store that carried a number of german dress shoes (Williams on Queen W. in Toronto). They seemed to be of good quality, and were reasonably priced.

The name was something like Reikan...Reiken? Not having any luck with google, was hoping someone could help and maybe comment on any experiences with the brand.

There is a small German company named Rieker that offers some decent stylings in the $100 - $150 range, is that perhaps the company you are looking for? Or are you looking for a manufacturer of more substantial Heidelbergs...?
