Lots of walking and standing will also cause feet to swell.
OTOH, over the course of a day, your clothing (to include shoes) can stretch a bit after prolonged exposure to your body's pressure, heat, and moisture. A shirt collar or a shoe that feels tight when first buttoned or slipped on in the morning will often develop a subtle bit of "give" by the evening.
