I'm currently shopping for a pair of loafers and before I just get another pair of AEs, I decided to check out eBay and get a feel for some others.
I found two new pairs there that I kind of liked- one from Emporio Armani, one Prada. My issue is that while both sellers had good feedback, one was based in Lithuania and the other in Latvia. Now, opinions of the brands aside (I've had good luck with EA clothing), would you ignore an auction for a new, reasonably priced (ie not suspiciously low) product from those countries?
This isn't meant to speak ill of those nations; the question is more about the incidence of counterfeit goods there. I know that EA sources a lot from some of the cheap-labor EU nations. For perspective, had one of the items been from China instead, I wouldn't have even clicked on it.
