I just tried for the first time a shirt from this Jermyn st. shop which has had good reviews.
Their basic shirt is made from Swiss cotton which is beautiful, soft and silky. The buttons are lustrous. The collar has an old fashioned shape but the interlinig is so stiff as to make the collar feel cheap, tacky and uncomfortable. This ruins what should be a very good shirt. Not worth £120. perhaps it will soften in the wash
Perhaps this is the result of a woman making a collar who never has to do the top button up and wear a tie
