I love wearing a suit and tie and am after any ideas on dressing it down.
I am a writer and piano teacher and my lifestyle and social circle as well as my character do not lend themselves to a suit worn as if I were off to the office. To caricature myself I'm a sort of bohemian artist, messy hair and bearded. A 'hippy' with a guitar but also a lover of Chopin, Mozart and Shakespeare and a writer. Somehow I try to reflect all that in my dress and no I don't mean wearing shirts covered in musical notes or anything as tasteless as that!
I own Charcoal, medium blue and navy suits. I dress them down with cardigans, eccentric Scarves and avoid overly dressy shoes.If I wear a tie it normally is patterned or a knit tie. Any ideas much appreciated. I like also to look as smart as possible with a little rogueishness and a dash of colour and avoid people thinking I'm off to the office, or an estate agent and constantly asking 'what's the occasion?'
Any advice on where to purchase some more cardigans and how do you dress down your suit?
