I would suggest a watch that I just purchased. A Seiko SARB031. It's the first real nice watch that I've owned so I don't have a lot to compare it to but absolutely love it. Also, I believe that you get a lot of watch for the money. The only place I am aware of that sells it is Seiya Japan. Here is a link to the actual watch:

that Seiko is wonderful! A classy, minimalist design, for a great price. Its a shame that the Seiko's made for the US market these days are so complicated and gaudy.

Thank you and I 100% agree. It really is a terrific watch and a great value. I don't understand why Seiko doesn't make watches like this more readily available in America. If I didn't see somebody suggest this watch to another member a couple of months ago I would've never known it existed.
