I moved to San Francisco a month ago and am looking to get a suit made for my wedding (May 17, 2009) If anyone has any insight on the SF tailoring scene...any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Erik M.

No, but I don't know any unicorns in Washington either.

Visiting tailors are your best bet, or in-store made to measure. Probably the latter since you need the suit in 4 months.

Doubtful that you will get a Bespoke suit made in 4 months. Contact Will and A suitable wardrobe and ask him about SF tailors. I don't think he is high on anyone in SF. There is a tailor that is on this site called mytailor.com I don't know if he makes suits or not. Do a search for this on this forum. Otherwise, depending on your price range, you can go to BB in SF and have them do a MTM golden Fleece for around $1500-$2000 maybe less. You will get a very nice suit. Or try NM or Saks or Barneys. Depending on your style MTM will be a good alternative.

Bespoken men of the Andy forums,

Thank you for your quick and honest answers. Being new to the world of suits is quite intimidating. Luckily, this forum sheds a hopeful light on what seemed like a daunting task. I can already tell this is the beginning of a dangerous avocation.

Cheers gents!
