Many of you grew up after Weejuns and Top Siders were a staple through the college years. I have noticed that others lived in that era, but have moved on from those earlier day icons.

There are still some of us that consider those two items to be great trad footwear, apparently, very few.

Every 10 years or so, I have to replace mine. This time, I found that they have almost disappeared from our local sources.

Sperry makes numerous versions, but the origional is hard to find. Bass seems to have very little shelf space. I guess it's time to move on, but to a purist, these two items will never be duplicated.

They are both made off shore, which may be a problem for many (current thread on this topic). However, the styles are identical to days of yore.

Best regards, Bill
