Given the reservations the OP expressed regarding this purchase and the potential pitfalls associated with such a "too good to be true" purchasing opportunity, I would walk away from the deal.

I guess you have to decide if you're ever really going to wear it. As good a deal as it might seem, if it just sits in your closet and is never worn, then it doesn't matter what deal you got on it. I have clothes I bought for a good price that never get worn and they're just a constant reminder that I wish I had saved my money.

Amen to that...I and so many others herein, feel your pain! And the answer to the obvious next question, sadly is, "no we will never learn!" LOL.
