I came across a new double breasted suit from a reputable brand that is new for less then $100.

I'm tempted to get it-but I have big doubts about doing so despite the amount.

1. I feel like the style is too liberal and would be too much for day to day wear
2. I feel like i hav enough suits (for now)

Then again it seems like a double breasted suit is a must have somewhere down the line and I figure this is as cheap as it's going to get for a quality one. It looks sharp, so I figure why not pull the trigger?

Any thoughts?

You would, I think, have to be very confident that it is what the seller says it is or that you are protected if what arrives isn't the same brand you ordered.

Its from a reputable website/seller from I'm not so much worried about that tbh.

Is the suit dated? $100 is a good price but if you're just getting it because of the price, then you may as well light a cigar with that $100 bill.

If it is still stylistically relevant, then why not. If not and you already have enough suits, then it's a waste of money.

Stay away from those suits that are too liberal. High taxes and more regulations-that's all they want. Phooey.

Says who? It's a nice-to-have, but is it a "must-have"?

And I agree that without photos of the suit, the advice we give you can only be wobbly at best.

Without knowing the brand or vendor and seeing pictures we really don't have much to go on.

On the other hand, if the question is whether a double breasted suit that looks good would be a good addition to your suit wardrobe, I would say yes.

We need more information to know if this is the one.

The blue stripe? I like the color and pattern well enough. The angle of the lapel felt slightly off for me, but not a bad deal for the price.

I used to make the same mistake when I was younger. I'd get something just because it was a good deal without really thinking through how it would fit into my stylistic scheme. I ended up with a closet full of crap that has all gone to goodwill.

I'm definitely getting better about thinking ahead of time before I buy something. Many times before in the store, I'd see a good deal on something that looks nice sitting there on the table without thinking about how and when I would ever wear it. Now before I buy something I really try to think it through. Where would I wear this? Do I have anything that goes with it? As nice as it looks on the table, does it still look nice when it's on my body? After making many quick decisions on clothing, I'm starting to get smarter about my purchasing choices.
