I have a really big school interview by the end of the week. I procrascinated and am searching for a suit last minute. This is my very first suit so I didn't know what I was looking for. I went to Jos. a Bank because they were the only shop that could get any tailoring done in time, however, the suit itself was 494$ and 180$ for the pants. All the while, they were completely backed up with their tailoring service so they reccomended some 3rd party who was there that day. It will cost me 110$ with all alterations for the pants and suit. I also purchased a 60$ button up shirt. Altogether, this cost me 800$. Buyers remorse is now creeping up on me and I feel like i spent too damn much on a suit by a brand everyone is critizing online. I am supposed to pick up the suit in 2-3 days but I am questioning whether I should get a refund on my money. the suit is 100% cotton and it looks nice but should i get a refund? Any advice is helpful

Do you know the old saying, haste makes waste. Yeah...well.
Since you can't get a suit any faster anywhere else and you have an important interview coming up, then knock it out of the park, confidently in your new JAB suit. I'm sure it will look just great.
If you had the time to shop around in a more leisurely pace, you could certainly get much value for your money.
I don't know if this makes you feel any better, but I planned on getting a fully custom (made to measure) suit from a well known men's clothing store for my wedding day. I waited too long and the store told me if I got measured that day, the suit would arrive 1 day before the wedding from the factory. That was too close a call. If there was even 1 day's delay, I'd be screwed. Instead, I got one of their off the rack suits and had them tailor it for me. It ended up costing the same as a custom suit.. I still looked great on my wedding day. ;-)
