A matter of enlightened self-interest for T&A, as these are specialized skills best passed on via personal instruction, and the company needs them if it wants to remain what it has become famous for being and not wind up as a hollow shell of a brand name.
It's of a piece with the strategy that the company revealed last year when it announced that it was going in the opposite direction from the discounting trend on Jermyn Street by actually raising prices.
