hello everybody,i imagine where could one get a damask button for evening tails,dinner jacket,or morning cutaways?

Oh. That's a special fabric woven specifically for use in covered buttons (and quite beautiful). You'd probably have to check with the 1800s and see if that century has any loose ones laying around. After that check etsy.com.
