If you wear a suit and tie it proves that you are responsible and trustworthy!

What, at one time, did Benjamin Siegel, and I have in common? We both had our last haircut at Drucker's barbershop in Beverly Hills.

And if you're in the neighborhood, drive by 810 Linden, BH where Mr. Siegel was killed. But otherwise I know nothing!

Back in the early '20's my grandfather had a barbershop in NY. Apparently he was the preferred barber of 'dose guyz'. When it began to be a pattern for capi and soldiers to get rubbed out in a barber chair, Grandpa began to worry about collateral damage so he loaded his new bride onto a train for L.A. and never went back. At least that's one of the family stories. There are others.

I wouldn't mind his tailor either!

My Calabrese tailor hated mob guys, and would occasionally watch a small TV in his shop when he was eating lunch. I stopped by one day to pick something up when the dapper publicity hound above appeared on the news. Sal turned red and began swearing violently in Italian. I asked what was wrong and Sal sputtered, "Look at that coat, that scum has no right to wear a coat like that!" Followed by another stream of expletives in Italian.

Should any be curious, top to bottom: Longie, Bugsy and Dutch. Dutch is on his way from the Essex Country courthouse with his attorney Dixie.

A panoply of hoods! :icon_hailthee:

Mickey Cohen was so fond of dress that he boasted a wardrobe of 200 suits, and even ran his own haberdashery between prison stretches.

Never had a problem with organized crime. It's disorganized crime that's the problem.
