It's not exactly fashion, but Nike (and Converse) allow you to custom order running shoes. You pick the size (and width) for each foot; and you get to select the colors for all the design elements. For some you get to choose between Goretex or open mesh panels.
I just ordered (from Nike) an all black on black running shoe with open mesh in 8-1/2 EEEE (a size I have had a hard time locating). It should arrive in about 4 weeks.
