Cordovan shoes OK w/ dark charcoal pinstripe suit?

Since I got them a couple of months ago, I've been wearing my brooks cordovan bluchers with a dark charcoal suit. I think it looks really good. I even wear them with my really dark solid charcoal gabardine trousers. Unless the light is super bright, the burgundy is hardly noticeable, but the inimitable shine sure is.

i've been told, however that it isn't the sort of combo you'd wear to a formal job interview.

I do have a nice new pair of black Loake captoes I could wear to interviews, but does anyone think the cordovan shoes would be unacceptable?

Would anyone raise an eyebrow if they interviewed someone for en entry level finance position and they were wearing $500 shoes?
