It appears that participants on this Forum fall into two categories when it comes to continuity in their tailors, shirtmakers, and bootmakers. There are some -- such as myself -- who tend to stick with a particular firm or craftsman over a very long period of time...building relationships; refining what we expect in a garment but staying rather close to a basic approach or style; mutually evolving from one stage to another. There are other participants who clearly like variety...who go from one maker to another in a celebration of diversity, in order to experience the scope of quality work, or in a never-ending search for the perfect fit and/or garment (what I would term the ongoing quest for the golden fleece). I am interested in others thoughts on this subject as well as your personal approach to this issue.
