Cole Haan Nike Air

Here's a bit of a strange question. I am a very happy, dedicated Allen Edmonds wearer, but I have found that I need a pair of much more casual pair of shoes as an alternative, this need has been filled by a pair of square toe rubber soled Kenneth Coles, also good to have in foul weather. My question is: how "dressy" can a pair of shoes be w/ a visible air sole? Could I get away w/ wearing them w/ a suit? My fear of the Durhams is that because they are waterproof, they won't breath very well and they are VERY stiff.
