If not in this expanded version, we are still blessed with Paul Winston. I dearly loved the old shop on E44th and its next door neighbor J Press. They were both a treasure. For a bit the original J. Press persisted on the south side of E44th, with the Japanese version across the street. Unfortunately, the new version did not compare favorably in terms of quality of merchandise with the original. I.e., weight of silk, sophistication of patterns, varieties of tweed, etc.
