I’m about to visit Charlottesville, VA for 2 weeks—I’ve never been but I’ve heard it is a good place for trad clothes. Planning on going to Eljo’s and Barrons-Hunter, any other must-visit places (also open to non-clothing recs)?

Yes - visit Thomas Jefferson's estate at Monticello. The tours are definitely for history novices, but still worth it. You may also wish to stop by and view the University of Virginia; much of the architectural design was created by Mr. Jefferson.
