This is not new. When I spent a lot of time in NYC in a Wall Street job ten years ago, this was already becoming the uniform. Fleece vests are rarely needed here in Florida, but when it’s cool out, it’s a perfect business casual look that I’ve been comfortable sporting for over a decade.

Khakis, OCBD, vest, bit loafers, and a fun belt. What’s not to like?

Same here, but then I am just not a vest person. I don't own a single vest. This may be because I am a resident of the Sun Belt. I once had a rather nice suede vest, a gift from an old classmate of mine. However, it vanished, along with some other items, when I was moving 30 years ago. Since the movers were relatives of mine, I chose not to belabor the issue.
