Good news! Carroll Custom is now open in Beverly Hills. Make sure you tell John hello for me when you make an appointment!

And deja view, take a look at the I did at his previous store:

Welcome to Carroll Custom.

I have opened a new store - more of a shop - in The Courtyard next to the old store on Canon Dr. I am focusing on custom and made-to-measure suits, sport jackets, slacks and shirts. I'll also be carrying a few favorite items - socks, belts, the Carroll cashmere sweatshirt and of course, Royal Briar cologne.

The custom business at Carroll & Co. has been the growing part of what I've been doing for the last few years. There is nothing quite like having a garment tailored especially for you. A few of the familiar names I will continue with are Samuelsohn, Oxxford Clothes, Belvest and Prima Volta for suits, jackets and slacks. Shirts will be led by Hamilton, one of the world's finest custom shirts, along with the popular Canon Collection.

This new venture is something I have been thinking about for quite some time. I have always appreciated custom clothing - from choosing the perfect fabric all the way to delivering a garment you can enjoy wearing for many years. When people tell me of the compliments they receive on their new clothing, well let's just say I feel as good as they do.

So the next time you're in the area, please stop by for a hello, a cappuccino or a dip in the candy jar. There is easy parking in the 2-hour free city lot just north of The Courtyard.

Thank you and I look forward to seeing you here at Carroll Custom.

John Carroll

That's heartwarming to hear. I felt quite sad when I heard that Carroll & Co. was folding, and it's nice to hear that John is returning as a source for classic, high-quality menswear. I doubt if I will ever be able to afford anything from him these days, sad to say.

I was very happy to hear this. I love their Royal Briar cologne and I was afraid the closing of their store would mean the end of this amazing scent but thankfully they will still still carry it. I occasionally bought shoes from them as well when they would have one of their store wide sales, I'm not sure if they will still carry shores however.

Wonderful! I wish you much success. High quality men's wear in L.A. is almost non-existent nowadays.
You have got that right. The men's storeat Neiman looked like an advertisement for "urban wear" and certainly not high end clothing. Terrible. I have want to dress like that I'm sure as heck not going to spend a fortune at N-M to do so!
