I have been sifting through my great-grandmothers button jar and have come across some real gems (both literally and figureatively).Among my finds were a set of abalone shell buttons,which I intend to have sewn onto one of my blazers,and as some of you may recall I have been looking for black onyx waistcoat buttons,well I found a set.Not onyx,but they are black and slightly irridescent.Also found three of what I assume to be my great-grandfathers collar studs.And lastly,I found several other buttons made out of various shells that I plan to use on pants/shorts.Well,those were my great finds of the week.
