Get it in a DB style. Particularly if you get custom buttons, no one will mistake you for anything but a dashing rogue.

I also second the idea of cream-colored trousers with the blazer.

Another suggestion to pull off the burgandy sport coat look (and to certainly differentiate from the undistinguished crowd) is to get one in linen.

As long as you've got the cream flannel trousers, the correspondent shoes and the silk scarf to go with it, looks like something that could be pulled off.
